J.Crew, Reconsidered
I keep asking “Where’s that from?” and the answer is J.Crew.
J.Crew’s been in the midst of a comeback for a while now. The silhouettes are more considered, the fabrics better, and the marketing actually makes you want the pieces. I've been a fan of their men's cashmere sweaters for years, but right now it’s the women's pieces that I find myself drawn to. Over the past two weeks, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve heard “J.Crew.” in response to “What is that?” This inspired a bit of market research. Below, everything I’d buy at J.Crew right now (much of it on sale).
This cashmere and silk knit works just as well now as it will later. The cut is clean, modern, and easy. I also have my eye on the black color.
I love the button details on this skirt, which pairs with a matching bikini top and bottom. It would look just as good on its own with a white tank.
A pretty yellow dress that pairs perfectly with a tan
This clean-lined boatneck tank works with every skirt linked. Plus, the price is hard to beat.
The fabric of this skirt was made for travel, and it couldn’t be easier to wear. I’m wearing an XS.
Whether in cream, black, or stripes, this is a great knit for both beach and city. Even better in person.
This skirt is final sale, but partially inspired this post. Trust me when I say it’s good.
An easy sweater to carry you through the next two months. It runs slightly cropped, so I’d recommend sizing up once or even twice.
A fun embellished skirt that I would wear with a tank top and strappy kitten heel. Size up for a lower-rise fit.
Ending with this cute little straw bag (better without the strap) I saw in-store. It’s beyond fairly priced right now.
xx
